Farewell to Blonde

The blonde is gone!

Saturday I went to the hairdressers and got about seven inches cut from my hair, and had her dye it back to my natural color. She used foils since she didn't have to do my roots (I had a good 2 1/2 inches of growth!!!) that way the chemicals wouldn't touch my scalp. Gotta watch out for Bubba's best interests and all, you know! My hair was down to my bra strap in the back before, and now it barely reaches my shoulders. It's kind of a shock every time I see my reflection, because I had gotten used to the blonde. It almost feels like I'm wearing a wig, like it's not real.

It had to be done though, because my hair is just too dang fine to bleach. The damage was very bad, it looked like I had been chewing on the ends. Now it's all shiny and healthy looking, so it's for the best! I can't really seem to get a good picture that shows it properly though. I'll have to try outside in the sun or something.

Here's a picture of today's lunch:

I have some shrimp sauteed in garlic and butter, steamed white rice with furikake, a fishie of gyoza sauce, hard boiled egg whites (the yolks looked a little undercooked to me so I fed them to the dog), edamame with carrot stars, potstickers, hummus, and cucumbers to dip. Healthy-ish.

My husband and I went to the Olive Garden last night (totally NOT healthy-ish) and our waitress was named one of the names on our short list (there's two) for a girl. It's a VERY uncommon name for a girl, so I said it was a SIGN. Bubba wants to be a princess. My husband just laughed at me. He had mentioned on Friday night that he had a feeling Bubba was going to be a girl too. Guess we'll have to wait and see!

Typical 1st time mom go and chop all your hair off.

Do you really eat that lunch?? I agree it doesn't look too appetizing.

So maybe I'm just new to the 'blogging' thing, but I think it's just as rude to make a negative comment in type as it is face to face.

I recognize that it's posted for you to comment on, but that certainly doesn't mean to say whatever you want.

Weird.

I've never heard that it was typical for 1st time moms to cut there hair...LOL. that comment is so stupid, it's funny. AND I think your hair looks great! I too love the feeling of cut healthy hair. :)

As for the lunches, it may not be something I would think to make but I have said it before and I'll say it again, you can come make my lunch anytime. It always looks so freakin' cool. Mmmm mmm mmm!
