I'm SUCH a cliche!

I'm barefoot....

(that's a three week old pedicure. I'm not sure how that girl does it, but they last FOREVER!!! The dang rhinestones are even attached still. Worth every penny!)

...and pregnant...

(look at how pointy my belly is from my point of view!)

...and in the kitchen making some damn dinner for my husband!

(that's right, my asparagus is FOXY!)

I am tickled by this. Yup, I do amuse easily. I took today off work due to a headache accompanied by some stomach issues. BLECH. I slept in, had some breakfast, went back to bed with the dogs, read a little, caught up on some blogs, found a new one, ran to Whole Foods for said Foxy asparagus and some pecan crusted chicken (YUM!) for dinner, and took stupid photos.

I'm making Pioneer Woman's Crash Hot Potatoes to go with. I use yukon golds though instead of red because I think red potatoes are too sticky/gluey/starchy. I also use dried rosemary because I don't cook enough to bother with fresh, and a teensy bit of butter on each one for additional flavor. Butter is good for your SOUL. There are some chocolate Little Bucket Parfaits from KFC in the fridge for dessert. We're like, totally gourmet like that around here.

Finished dinner!

Life is good and I don't want to go to work tomorrow. Thinking of trying Fly Lady again, if just to get back into a routine before the baby comes. We're kind of a mess.

I'm really looking forward to putting the crib together after dinner. We'll see how that goes.
