All's Fair

My husband and I started a tradition right after we got married. We went to the Arizona State fair and took our pics in one of the photo booths. This year marks the fourth year that we've done this. It's so much fun cramming ourselves in that itty bitty booth and trying to think of what goofy thing to do for the next frame. I planned ahead this time, and I not only insisted on doing photos first so that I wouldn't look all grubby after being at the fair all day, but I remembered to make a little chipboard folder to put the picture strips in so that they would be protected and I wouldn't have to worry about them getting bent too easily. I rock.

In fact, I had so much fun playing in the photo booth, I did it again with my friend:

I'm not much of a ride rider, I am more of a junk food eater. I had a Weight Watcher Chocolate Cookies & Cream bar for breakfast, 2/3 of a piece of Indian Fry Bread with powdered sugar, most of an ear of roasted corn on the cob, half of a Polish Sausage with sauteed onions, some super fresh kettle corn, and a ton of fresh squeezed lemonade at the fair, Beef with broccoli at my favorite hole in the wall Chinese restaurant in Phoenix for dinner, and then I topped it off with a milkshake from Maggie Moos for dessert. I have to say, today was a perfect food day. I am fat, but I am happy.

The closest thing we came to a ride was the Euro Slide... I sucked at it, I couldn't make my little mat go at first so I was the last one down. I'm the lame one that is still at the top in this picture. That hike up to the top is brutal too.

But tomorrow...back on the wagon... AGAIN!
