Pigeons

On this day, in 1914, the last known passenger pigeon in existence died at the Cincinatti Zoo.

This, apparently, was a big deal. I for one, don't get it. They're pigeons! Pretty pigeons, but still pigeons. People call these creatures flying rats. People use them for target practice outside their homes. Every spring nests of baby pigeons are destroyed when they are discovered by pigeon haters. Business spend thousands of dollars putting those dang spike things on all their signs and posts so the pigeons can't land on them.

Really, is there anyone (beside Bert of Sesame Street) who likes pigeons?

One flew into my window yesterday with a large THUMP! Scared the bageebers outta me! But I did go out to see if it was ok. It sat there for about 20 minutes and then flew off.

I don't mind pigeons.
