Knit one, Purl two...

I was at Target (Land of the Impulse Buy) yesterday with my friend and I happened upon the cutest thing. It was this kit so you could learn to knit your dog a sweater. Y'all know how I am about my dogs, so I decided I would pick it up.

So what if I can't knit?

It's so cool! It came not only with an instructional booklet, but a DVD too! I am totally a visual learner so it's helped me tons. I also got yarn, knitting needles, buttons, and a tapestry needle. I'm ready to go!

I'll tell you though, it's kinda hard. I can crochet like no one's business, I've been doing that since I was seven years old. That should tell you how easy it is to learn how to crochet. I figured knitting would be easier, because hey, I have twice the needles now, right?

WRONG!!! I have said more than a couple of choice words at that stupid thing. I haven't even THOUGHT about starting the stupid sweater yet. I practiced casting on and knitting last night, and purling and alternating between knitting and purling today. Check me out tossing knitting terms around, hahaha!

Everyone I know is getting a freaking scarf for Christmas.

Good luck S! You'll love it. It is very very therapeutic.

If you are having a really hard time with the motions, it might be the needles and/or the yarn. some "slip" easier than others, and its hard to get control of it.

Can't wait to see what you come up with!
