It's Wednesday
And that means, Miss M is BAKING!
This week we had our choice between bringing a cake, and bringing cupcakes. Well, duh. Talk about a no brainer! So, as we speak, I'm making carrot cupcakes in honor of Easter. I'll frost them with cream cheese icing (shh, don't tell!) instead of Wilton Yuck, and just decorate them in class with that like last time.
Of course, even though I halved the recipe, I still had enough batter left over after my 8 class cupcakes to make 24 mini ones. Those I will frost with cream cheese icing tinted green and use a grass tip. I bought some robin eggs to put on top. Silly, I know, but it looks good in my head. We'll see how they look in real life.
I finally found an apron to love. I've been looking for a cute apron for about a year now, and just using an old Starbucks apron in the interim. I was on Bake & Destroy (seriously, I'm so hooked on her blog) and she was wearing the CUTEST cupcake apron in one post. I happened upon one at Sur la Table this weekend. and I snatched that bad boy right up.
Isn't it cute?
My arms, on the other hand, besides looking pudgy as all get out, look oddly like they're attached...backwards. At least to me.

aww, how cute are you? and btw, natalie (my bakin' and destroyin' first born) could use the shout outs. she was interviewed at thechicagoist.com and got some rather nasty comments. she knows to shake them off, but we all know that's easier said than done.
