The Day After

V-Day went pretty smoothly. My friend and I made our menfolk giant cookies and cards:



I also bought my husband this video game he wanted. I know, how romantic, right? He got me this gorgeous plant:



I'm not so much a flowers kinda girl. They just die. I think this is prettier. And look, the leaves have hot pink streaks on them! Perfect! I only wish I knew what kind of plant it was.

We stayed in and had a quiet night. I made a variation on Shrimp Scampi, with fresh asparagus along with the shrimp, yum yum! Of course, there was chocolate chip cookie for dessert.
