Fresh Produce

Have you guys heard of this store?  We have one at the mall near my house.  It caught my attention because, well, see for yourself:

It's so bright and colorful and happy!  The clothes inside are just as colorful and relaxed. It's absolutely lovely, so when I got the opportunity to review an item this week, no way I could resist.

Of course, I am all sorts of pregnant right now, and well... this isn't a maternity store.  I thought about it, and then remembered how Erin of Blue Eyed Bride is always posting photos of herself in cute tunics.  I could pick out something like that for after the baby's arrival!  I don't really have any tunics in my closet, so what better opportunity to get to try it out?  They have TONS of cute tunics on their site so there were plenty from which to choose.  I narrowed it down to the Mandarin Collar Button Up Tunic in Tropical Punch.  It's fitted in the bust, but loose around the belly which I think will be perfect for my body post baby.  It buttons all the way up the front for easy access at feeding/pumping time.  It's made of a really nice, lightweight cotton fabric so it won't be too hot for our Arizona summer, and it's PINK.  Y'all know how I feel about pink!

I looked at the size chart on their site, and based on the boot camp measurements I had taken right before I got pregnant, the top of my torso was a medium/large while my hips and waist were an XL/XXL.  Hmm.  I decided to be optimistic (HA!) and go with the medium/large.  Here is the top on the model:

And here it is on me.

Yup.  It FITS.  The buttons gap a little in front of my chest, but not really bad.  A little double stick tape would fix that, which I know because almost all of my button front tops do the same thing.  The bottom is loose enough that my whole belly fits in there.  It's bunching funny because I had a tank top underneath and they were sticking together a bit.  I am 5' 4" and currently weigh 206 lbs (oh, hooray baby weight!).  My bust measures 45 inches around and my waist is a good 48 inches.  I'm kinda huge!  I don't know if everything fits this generously, but you might want to keep that in mind if you decide to try it out.

This top is super comfortable and I'm just in love with the color.  I can totally see reaching for it often after the baby comes, and heck, even before.  Well, at least until it stops fitting!  I wore it out on Friday to my knitting club and got lots of compliments on it.

I'd definitely recommend checking out one of their stores.  If you don't have one near you, no worries!  They are online and ship to over 200 countries. Here are a few pages that caught my eye:

Tunics, of course -  http://freshproduceclothes.com/fp/tunic I see a few more that I wouldn't mind having in my closet!
Casual fashion for travel -  http://freshproduceclothes.com/fp/casual-fashion Although I have to say that I think these travel looks are just as nice for being comfy at home yet still looking put together.

I was not paid to do this review - I did however receive the top pictured free of charge.  You know, so I'd have something to review.  :)  All the opinions written here are my own.
