It's no secret that I love glitter. It's also no secret that I have OCD and can't stand a mess. So how do I deal? Enter the world's most perfect glitter:
This stuff is awesome, and no, no one is paying me to say that. You just put it wherever you want some bling, let it dry, and presto! No mess, no trying to get leftovers back into a teeny jar, no bits of glitter flaking off all over the place. Just beautiful glitter on whatever you're making. I especially love to use it for covering chipboard. I used it to make the
glitter buckles on my Christmas gifts in 2009 and I used it to cover the letters on my "Splendid" banner. It's good stuff.
One of my absolute favorite colors is the
Platinum. It's kind of like a tarnished silver that's so much nicer than regular silver. I'm on my third bottle! I actually had to grab more to finish that banner on Thursday, so while I was at the scrapbook store I picked up a few more colors. (Did you know they have
designer Stickles now? I bought one called
Tiara - a very slightly pinky/purplish silver. LOVE.) With these new additions to my collection, all of the bottles did not fit in the little tin where I had been storing them anymore. Luckily Shelley over at
House of Smiths posted a link to this
awesome craft room (you think mine is awesome, you HAVE to check out that one!) on Twitter a few days ago that had an awesome storage solution for all of those little bottles.
Have a second look at that first photo that I posted. Notice anything wonky about it?
It's upside-down!!!
I bent a piece of aluminum I just happened to have laying around (I know, because everyone has little sheets of metal just lying around, right?) because originally I was going to put these under my stamp shelves. Well, that didn't work out, so I moved it over under the big shelves but since it was already bent I had to just go with that.
They're nice and out of the way, there's still enough room to add more bottles should I decide to grow my selection, and they look pretty and organized to boot! Hooray
Stickles and Organization!
