Weekend Recap
For instance, I finally finished that last burp cloth.
It only took a month! This one is my favorite out of all of them, I decided. The alligator is copied from a Carter's bodysuit I saw at the mall. I looked it up online and used that shape as the inspiration for mine. So cute!
I also did a good amount of work on my altered clipboard:
This will hang on the side of the baby's dresser and hold the diaper log. I made one up in MS Word (which is, in my opinion, one of the greatest, most versatile programs ever invented, and sadly, one of the most under utilized) that I can just print out and put on there. The problem I'm having is deciding what to put in that bookplate. Do I put Sawyer's name? Diaper Log? Something else? BLAH!
While I was on two peas, I came across a recipe for apple bread that I've actually made before. I remembered it being really good, so I baked a couple of loaves of that last night. One was sent with my husband to his buddy's house for the weekly football gathering, where it was promptly eaten. I do like feeding people! The other I kept here for us.
There was a rather ambitous plan for making thank you cards for some gifts that we've received recently, but I'm not feeling the paper love today. I didn't want to put them off any longer (I like to get them out within two weeks of receiving a gift), so I busted out my nice Crane stationery. Even though it's so pretty and sophisticated and grown up, it felt like a bit of a cop out in the back of my head. Ah, the curse of being crafty, eh?
So today, I did some sittin', some drinkin', some eatin', some peein' (okay a LOT of that!), and some readin'. Yeah, I'm a slug.

LOL! You got way more done than me! That's the curse of being an active person at the end of pregnancy. I've had to learn to just go easy on myself and enjoy the quiet rest while I still have it. btw - love the altered clipboard, adorable!
I LOVE the alligator! You are so creative. You should start an etsy page with your little felt things.
I think those are both so cute but I have to be honest I've never heard of keeping a diaper log. I was just told to call if I noticed he wasn't poopin' or peein'. He did both...a lot! LOL.
