Slacking off
1. Go to the post office. I have a few things to mail out; some that have been sitting here for weeks. Ugh! I also sold one of my handbags on Ebay so I need to send that out ASAP. Can't be getting bad feedback!
UPDATE - The post office is fortunately on the way to the grocery store, so I went, sent my stuff, and I'm back home.
2. Go to the grocery store. I went once last week and got a few items, and haven't been back since. We've been backsliding into fast food again, and that's very bad.
UPDATE - After I left the PO, I went to the store. I was very good and ONLY bought stuff on my list. No extras (except the Fritos, and they were on my list). I only had two coupons to use, but they were $1.00 each. We forgot to get the paper on Sunday, oops. I did buy a lot of stuff on sale, so I saved about $8 overall.
3. Vacuum. I made that wreath earlier this week, and the grapevine base left little pieces of sticks and dried leaves all over the carpet. I hate vacuuming, so I've been putting it off.
UPDATE - Done. I even used the Pet Fresh carpet sprinkle that I found while reorganizing the cleaning supplies in the cupboards! Smells nice in here...
4. Dust. I haven't dusted in a couple weeks either. I'm a terrible housewife.
UPDATE - Okay, this one will have to wait. I apparently out of Swiffer dusters, among other things, so a trip to Target is in my future. I'll try again tomorrow.
5. Sweep the front patio. There is a stupid pine tree out front and it drops needles all day every day on my patio. It's messy and I hate it. Since it's my front entryway, that's the first impression that anyone who comes over will see. Not that a lot of people come over, but you never know.
UPDATE - Done.
6. Make bread. I've decided to not buy bread anymore, since I can bake it fresh and it will be all natural and stuff. We ran out last weekend, but I haven't gotten around to making more yet. Oops.
UPDATE - It's rising now. I had a scare with my KitchenAid when it stopped running, but I tripped a breaker. Weird. It's fine now, knock on wood!
UPDATE 2 - on it's second rising. YAY!
UPDATE 3 - Two beautiful loaves have been baked, and one given away. I got fancy and braided them this time. I should have taken a picture! Oh well.
7. Finish the barbecue invitations. All I have to do is print them, cut them apart, and smack them on some cardstock. This would take less than an hour to do, but have I done it? Nooooo....
UPDATE - Done. Took about 15 minutes too. Sometimes, I suck.
8. Drop off invitations so they can be mailed out by friend.
UPDATE - Done. Got to see her wedding gown and visit with the cat. Took her a loaf of bread. All is well.
9. Water houseplants. They're looking droopy.
UPDATE - Watered the outside ones, the ones in the living room, and the last little surviving bit of basil. I just need to do the ones on the hutch in the dining room.
UPDATE 2 - All done.10. Make dinner. No excuses! I'm cooking tonight - Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, corn. This shouldn't be hard, as I still had half of a meatloaf frozen from last time I made it. Two people can't (okay shouldn't) eat a whole meatloaf by themselves.
UPDATE - Potatoes are peeled and set to boil for the mashed potatoes, I'll end up nuking the rest. Man, I love having two microwave ovens!
UPDATE 2 - Done. Dinner was yummy, even for leftover meatloaf!
I'll update this as the day goes on, to keep myself honest or something like that. I've also noticed that as I slack off, I don't notice what my husband is doing, so HE starts to slack off too. Guess who's coming home to a NICE "honey do" list?
UPDATE - I cleaned out the laundry area too. It was gross, and that took a good while. That's one thing off his list, and he's home and working on his stuff now. I don't think he's happy, but it could be because some grouchy pregnant lady "read him the riot act" as he put it. Ah, well.
Final verdict - I got everything done except the dusting. Not too shabby what I can accomplish once I set my mind to it I guess. I also did about four loads of laundry, since I was out there anyway. We did have to fit in a Target run to get some fabric softener and Swiffer dusters, and a few other housecleaning supplies. I got a mailer full of coupons today though, and I saved $5.50. Got out of there once again for under $25. Kick butt!

I know how you feel, I have those days! Cut yourself some slack though...your preggers girlie & that's a job in itself! Try and relax :-)
Ok, when I was at your point in pregnancy, all I wanted to do was SLEEP...so don't feel bad one bit!
I get the same way sometimes when I'm feeling overwhelmed. What you need is a break from everything and a pedicure or a massage or something like that :)
Kudo's to you miss thang!
:) nice work!
Send some of that motivation my way ok? :)
I don't even have an excuse to be lazy. I just am.
Good job getting so much done!
Look at you! That's not a bad day! Your post may even motivate me to make a list -- and then actually DO the things on it.
I'm having one of those days TODAY! I just don't wanna!!!!
You did so much today! Take a break and enjoy the Fritos...you deserve them!
that's slacking off? i don't do that much in a month. you did it all while pregnant and in one day. you might want to take it easy missy!
Dang woman! All of that...definitely not too shabby! You almost motivated me enough to get my butt off the couch...but now I'm just exhausted from reading what you've accomplished!
