I <3 Seattle

When we got in last night, it was fifty something degrees. That's like HALF of the degrees in Phoenix! And then, this morning, it was in the mid sixties, overcast, and chilly enough that I was able to wear a jacket. That's right, a jacket in JULY!!! So so happy!

We went down to the market today, and walked around. I had the best nectarine ever (freaking $2 piece of fruit though), some super fresh roasted corn on the cob, and shared a fresh cinnamon roll with my husband. We found the cutest kid's store where I picked up one of these:

Yes, it's ugly. It's an Uglydoll! I love these things. I haven't come across any full sized ones anywhere before, only mini versions. It's made of soft felt and has nothing that I have to worry about coming off and choking the baby. Strange, but cute.

We also found a super cute mini Aerosmith teeshirt. It's dark brown and styled so it looks like a vintage concert tee. My mother in law picked up a cute Seattle onesie and some little dog-themed onesies, and then we found the most adorable knit monkey cap at a resale shop. She also found a picture book about a fetus complaining that there's nothing to do "in there", and a book about baby signing that I'm really looking forward to reading.

I've been here one day and I'm already buying baby stuff left and right, hee hee! Next stop - Qwest Field to pick up a baby Seahawks jersey at the team shop for my boy who will be born just in time to enjoy football season!

Sounds like you are having a great vacation. I bet the cooler weather is heaven to you right now. :)
(You may get spoiled before it's time to go home! LOL)

I meet my first Uglydoll last month--I couldn't decide which one to bring home with me--although I opted for the keychain version.
