Does she take pics of EVERYTHING?????

It's so festive at work, I just couldn't bear not to have a little bit near my desk. That's why when I found this little tree in the closet, I had to pull it out. The lights don't work, but I think it still has a certain charm.

I've decorated it with odds and ends that remind me of fun times at work. There's the little pizza box from the place we go for happy hour, tiny sneakers that remind me of the accountant who came to work with two broken fingers after falling down a mountain in a race, monkeys from a barrel for the guy we nicknamed Marcel, a troll doll for a reason I won't get into, a tiny toque for chef who always has time to explain a sauce or technique... good stuff here.

I've been trying to pack lunch again. I'm two for three this week so far. Chef makes this fantastic grilled shrimp, and she told me the name of the sauce she glazed it with. I ran out and grabbed myself a bottle, and it's just sooooo good!

I have pan seared shrimp glazed in Mae Ploy Sweet Chile sauce over white rice with chiffonaded (is that a word?) spinach in the top layer, and a few potstickers with some edamame and half a boiled egg in the bottom half. I garnished with a few carrot flowers, and tucked a little fish full of dipping sauce on the side. YUM!
