Burn, baby, burn

No, it's not a disco inferno, it's my scalp!

I got my hair chemically relaxed on Saturday, and got quite the severe chemical burn on several areas of my scalp. I've had the relaxer done about 6 or seven times before, but this is only my second burn. The first was very, very minor.

You know how when you skin your knee it kinda oozes sticky clear yuck? My scalp is doing that now. Even better, it dries into a very hard crust, with my hair trapped in it.

Lovely. I'm sure you are glad I shared.

This is serious. Did you scratch or comb your head prior to the application? As soon as you felt the burns, did you have the the chemical taken off of your hair?

Get some hair oil and oil the scabs. That will help.

Nah, it always burns a bit. I have sensitive skin. The chemical was not taken off right away because I never know if I am REALLY burning or being a sissy. So it was really partly my fault. I'm dumb like that. No biggie. I'm healing and have cool giant dandruff to pick off while watching TV at night. :)
