Favorites

I'm supposed to be scrapbooking.

I have one more assignment left for S...but it's the hardest one, and of course I saved it for last! I have to make a mini book using the EK Success Bookworks stuff. It's really cool, but a whole book? Yikes! No pressure!

It took me about a week to even think of a theme for this thing, and it finally came to me last night during a trip to Walmart. Who says Wally World can't be inspirational? Loves it!

Anyway, I'm doing a Favorite Things album. My inspiration is Kristina Contes "Why I Scrapbook" album, which is way too cool for words. I love the style that she did it in, so I've been looking at the pictures to get the feel for it and to be inspired. Obviously, mine will be different as I have an entirely different subject, but I'm hoping for a similar feel. It will be interesting to see how it turns out.

I was taking some photos for the pages this afternoon before the batteries on my camera died. The pic in my new header is one of the ones I took. Here are a few more of them:

Yup, I really do have a section of my closet devoted to miniature sweaters, tee shirts, and pajamas for my kids. It makes me smile. I wasn't too wild about using the blue for the background, but it does go with the papers, and in the end, I like the way the color gradiation goes from the dark navy on the top to the bright blue on the bottom of the photos because of the light. I just need to get these bad boys printed and I'll be good to go!
