I am a consumer.

Just over 100 days until my birthday! That's barely 3 months from now, which means that it is time to start thinking about what I want for my birthday.

I told my husband (jokingly) that I wanted a new iPod. I have a mini right now. I love it, because it is small and pink. The problem is that it is almost full. Once it is full, I'm going to have to start deciding what I do and don't want on there so it will fit. I don't want to do that! I like having all my weird, random stuff on there. I may not listen to Tom Jones singing She's a Lady or Ricky Martin telling me about how She Bangs on a daily basis, but I like knowing that I have the option. What if I want to hear some Pretty Poison or Pink Martini but it's not on there anymore because I had to make room for more Rob Thomas or Foo Fighters? I won't really miss Eric Carmen or Afroman until they're gone.

Thus, the new iPod discussion. Not only would I be able to hold ten times the music on a new one, I'd have video! I could admire the album artwork that I painstakingly added to all 796 songs that I have on there so far. It would be all pretty and shiny and new. (I like shiny things!)

Anyway, I forgot all about it until later, when my husband ( he has a video iPod already) asked me if I was serious about wanting a new iPod. When I asked him why, he pointed out that our computer is only 80g. That means that if his was full, and I had one that was full, that would be 60 g!!! Doesn't leave much room for anything else on there! This was a very good observation on his part. What to do?

Hee hee... how about getting me my OWN computer? A snazzy little laptop, that I can cart with me to work, where there is no Microsoft Word or Excel. I neeeeeed those programs at least. Photoshop would be kinda nice too. I got giddy just thinking about it! No more weird controllers on there or strange video game icons appearing on my desktop. It will have only the programs I want, not all the junk I can't convince my husband that we don't need because we don't use it. Oh, how NICE would that be?

He just rolled his eyes at me. Guess it's time to start thinking about something else!

I love your new banner!! I have the 60 gig and I have over 3500 songs on it...a lot of it is stuff I use for school (I'ma music teacher) and not really for personal use...so I'm betting the 30 gig one would be good! I LOVE mine, but unfortunately got it about a week (no lie) before the video ones came out!!
