Peeping Tom

My living room has one of those big glass sliding patio doors leading outside. We generally leave the curtains open because that's pretty much the only window in there due to the way the house is set up, and I like bright sunlight. I don't think it's an issue because the neighbors houses are all one story and our back yard is surrounded by a six foot block wall.

Well, behind that block wall is a street, and that street is lined with sidewalks. It doesn't get a lot of foot traffic, but occasionally you'll see the top of someone's head bobbing by. Again, not much of an issue because most people wouldn't take the effort to walk off the sidewalk into the gravel to peek over the wall.

This morning, however, this guy was walking by who must have been really tall because I could see his whole face over the wall as he walked by. I stood behind my couch (it's floated in the center of the living room) watching him when I saw him turn his head to look into our yard. No biggie - he was curious. I probably would have peeked too, if I were tall enough to just casually turn my head and see.

Well, then he stopped. He just stood there on the sidewalk looking over my wall and then I realized he was looking at ME. Even better, a couple of seconds later I realized I wasn't wearing any pants!!!

Hey, I had just gotten up!

I just kind of stood there and looked directly at him until he realized that I was watching him back. That was his cue to move right along.

The way I see it, I was in MY home. I shouldn't have to wear pants if I don't want to. It would be different if there were windows that would expose me to the front of the house, or if the neighbors could see me easily, but there aren't and they can't. Also, my tee shirt was long and pretty much covered my bits. Add to that I was standing behind the couch and I'm pretty sure all he could see was the silhouette of my behind and maybe some cellulite on my thighs. I mean, we all know I'm not a small girl! If that's what turns him on, well then, I just made someone's day.

Yup. I'm weird. I know. I told my husband and he laughed pretty hard, so I guess he's weird too. :)
