I stink.

I can't believe I actually went over a week without posting. I'm trying to think - what did I do that I had nothing to post about? That I had no time to post? That I was unable to commemorate getting to the 50,000 hit mark without any kind of acknowledgement of the occasion?

The verdict? No excuses. I just stink.

This week I spent a lot of time hanging out with my friend, I went to the mall to trade in some empties at MAC for a new eyeshadow, started watching makeup tutorial videos on YouTube, baked some bread, suffered from insomnia a LOT, finally fixed my stupid eyebrows, and used a $50 off $100 purchase coupon at Old Navy. So, I did some stuff, just nothing really exciting or blog post worthy.

Well... Saturday night I did go out with friends. That deserves a seperate post.

On Sunday, we took the baby back out to the pool again. I can tell he's starting to get used to playing in the pool even though we only go about once a week. He relaxes in the water a lot faster and he's even starting to paddle his feet a little and splash around, which is super cute. Target put these baby pool floaties on sale last week, so we picked one up for him. It's a bit nicer than the ones you just inflate and that can tip over if you're not super careful.

It was also the first time we went out early enough that the pool was in full sun, so he got to wear his stylish baby swim hat! At first, he wasn't too sure what to make about being in this thing. He kept leaning all the way forward, and then he'd get a mouthful of water. Once he relaxed and figured out how to stay upright, he was better. I would hold one end and kick across the short end of the pool, then stand and walk backwards to where I began. On the return trip, when he was going forward, he would paddle his little legs. I guess it must just be instinct to do that.

He played in there for a good 15 minutes before he got fussy and wanted out. We sat him on the steps where he happily splashed for a bit before my husband took him back out again, only carrying him in his arms this time.

Action shot!
So cute!

I ran out of gDiapers due to poor planning on my part earlier this week and didn't feel like running across town to Babies R Us to get more. I ended up just grabbing a pack of Huggies at CVS. (Shameful, I know) Apparently, Mr. Man has moved up into a size 3 diaper already!!! Holy Moly! I guess he instinctively knew why we were there, and wanted to show his approval because he went on to drop a deuce complete with bright red face, loud loud loud theatrical grunts, and ridiculous facial contortions. SO embarrassing, yet pretty damn funny at the same time.

Never a dull moment!

Ah yes, the public poops. Wait till you have a toddler and he bends down on his knees!! So hilarious!!
I've seen GDiapers at Whole Foods out here, I'm not sure their prices compared to BRU.

Sawyer looks like he's having a great time swimming.

How are you guys doing on the milk situation? Are you still giving him what you had frozen, or have you run out? How's he taking the formula?

i want to tell you about a product i found at a place called Aqua Tots (indoor swimming school place). They have a cloth swim diaper for babies. I bought one for my son last year. it is a thick washable swim diaper. So it saves so much money because you can just wash and reuse it and not have to keep buying those disposable swim diapers that are not cheap! AND it saves the environment! They have it in speedo or swim trunk style. I suggest the speedo style because then you can use it with more than one style of swim trunks. The cost was under $20 which is the cost of 2 packs of swimmie diapers.

Love the swim pics, looks like he loves it! He's too cute in his little hat! And poop faces are hysterical. Thankfully my daughter doesn't do a lot of them because they reduce me to a giggling idiot.
