I like can I touch
I don't really watch "actual" television anymore. We gave up cable for the new year, and instead, we watch stuff online. This means, since I don't see commercials, that for a lot of things, I'm woefully behind the rest of the world tv-wise. I also almost never watch stuff when it airs, and end up seeing it several days or weeks later.
My husband was browsing through clips of Saturday Night Live the other day, and he came across one from a recent episode where Will Ferrell hosted. Now, I know we shouldn't laugh or poke fun at people with disabilities, and it's wrong to do so. Unfortunately, I'm human, and when I watched this clip of "The Lawrence Welk Show", I laughed HARD. I suck like that. Then, I poked around this morning so that I could post it here, and found that there was actually an earlier bit they had done.
So, if you suck a little bit too, enjoy.

Freakin hilarious! I had seen the skit with the yellow dresses, but not the Will Farrell one. So funny!
The Lawrence Welk Show tripped me out eons ago. LOL.

The gown was worn on Thursday evening. I was a line leader @ graduation.
Yes, people hated on me. This is what happened - I asked for them to rent me a doctoral gown. I know that they could do it, because our sister schools do it for their Ph.D. faculty; they refused to do it. I was informed that everyone was to look the same. BS; a colleague of mine (has her doctorate) has her own gown and wears it.
I went on Ebay, and I found the gown (inexpensive version, because those shits are $300 on up and that is WITHOUT the tam hat)
The woman was pissed. Her secretary was the one who informed me that the gown couldn't be ordered. She wouldn't even look at me.
LOL!! I had seen that first skit (with Anne Hathaway) and we all laughed our beehinds off. We even repeat some of "Junie's" lines around here. ("I like chasing cars")....but hadn't seen the Will Farrell one!
The sad thing is, I'm old enough to REMEMBER the Lawrence Welk show (when it was current) so that's part of the reason I think these skits are so funny.
Thank you for putting up these hilarious skits. I've visited your website a dozen times just to watch these skits with my brother. We think it's the funniest thing ever, and I can't find the Will Ferrell one anywhere else! You rock for posting these!
