better.

First off, I have to thank everyone who left kind words here and reassurances that I'm not a complete loser. It means a lot to me. When I get stressed, the best thing for me is to turn to my keyboard and just get it ALL OUT. It sucks, but it works. It allows me to muddle my way through my thoughts and feelings and get them into some kind of order so I can better examine them. Getting feedback, which is something I never expected when I started this, helps so much too. Other people letting me know it's not just me. Other people letting me know I'm more normal than I like to give myself credit for. Other people, many who have never even met me, who lend moral support.

Thank you all very much.

Today was much better. I still feel kinda bad and ashamed of myself and my behavior last night. Many kisses and apologies were given to the little man all day today, even though I know he doesn't understand and probably doesn't even care. I guess it's more for me and to help my heart heal. We spent a lot of time just hanging out and chatting, especially in his happy place. I sat him up and took a few pictures:

How can I be mad at that face?

He just loves to look out that window. Sitting him up gives him a whole new view.
Earlier in the morning I found my husband doing tummy time up there. We were trying to get a picture so he scooted back a bit, but then Bubba felt there was no need to lift up his head. He just laid there happily gnawing his fist.

You like our diaper log on the side of the dresser? LOL! It's interesting to look back to when we first brought him home and compare just how much he used to poop then compared to now.
Here's one I caught while he actually had his head up. He also had his legs up. From going to the gym, I understand that this is an excellent ab workout.

I found this one on the memory card and figured I'd post it too. It's from a few days ago.

Before we knew that Bubba was a boy, we came across these bunny slippers at Kohls. They're super cute, but I was worried that we'd buy them and then have a boy and they'd never get used. My husband decided that they were just too cool to pass up, and since they only had the one pair left, we had to buy them. He stated that his son would be secure enough in his masculinity that he could wear pink bunny slippers!
Well, here we are a few months later, and Bubba's feet are finally big enough to fit in them. Those little feet are growing FAST! I slipped them on over his feetie pajamas. They're just something that makes me happy.

OH! And the best part of today - Bubba has learned how to do the cutest little motorboat sounds! We were sitting together on the couch and I heard it behind me. I turned to my husband (he was holding the baby) and asked him, "Was that you?" He said no, it was Bubba. Apparently, Bubba's been performing this trick for dad for a few days now! It's so cute. He'll be sitting there making his little talking sounds (he's also been making multisyllabic sounds) then he'll add in the little motorboat sounds.

I just really love this kid!
