Bubba Talks

My child has a happy place. It is, believe it or not, the changing platform on top of his dresser. If you had told us six or seven weeks ago that this would be where his best moods were going to happen, surely we would have laughed at you. This baby would scream until he was purple whenever we tried to change his diaper. Now?

He just lays there, contentedly babbling and trying out his voice. He waves his arms and kicks his legs. I have thought about putting some sort of table in there so I could get some work done while he was having "happy time". My husband has lamented the fact that we can not just bottle whatever the magic is that spot holds an spread it to the other rooms of our apartment.

So what exactly is the source of his fascination?

A heady combo of the ceiling, the wall, a curtain rod, the window, and some cheap plastic vertical blinds. All white. Weird, huh?

I took a photo of the back of his head. Everyone told me he was going to get a bald spot there. I've seen them on other babies too. He will be two months tomorrow, but he still pretty much has everything he was born with back there.

Gotta love the baby mullet!

Awh. Technology is so amazing. It's really cool to see him in action. Gosh, he's cute. Who knows what makes them tick when they're that small? Light seems to be a source of entertainment though. :)
Glad he's (and you) are finding some happy times!

Too cute! Love hearing his little voice.
Mine loves the changing table too and she's looking at the bottom of a shelf! It's the box the toy comes in that's always more fun.

Hey my baby boy loves the changing pad too. He can be screaming his head off and as soon as we put him in there he is fine and looking around, happy. Weird!

Sweet baby boy.

He doesn't have the bald spot because you're being a good mommy and not having him always on his back. That's why so many babies get the bald spot (according to my mom). Due to SIDs, they say to keep them on their back; however, when they are a awake, Mom is a firm believer of putting them on their stomach or side.

This what what I posted on my blog:

Sara: You are so right. I could have a 6ft; however, I have no freaking room in my storage unit to store the 6fter. LOL! I do have nice things otherwise. I just wanted the *grand* Christmas this year in a new residence; however, I am thankful to have somewhere to lay my head. ;)

Thanks for "regulatin'" me. ;)
