Insomnia blows!

I was so exhausted last night, I passed out at 9:00 pm!

(Yay!)

Only to wake up at 3:00 am and not be able to go back to sleep.

(Boo!)

I ran some errands yesterday. My husband informed me that "something" had happened to our drinking glasses and there were only four left. I set out to buy some more, but the only ones I found that matched came with 6 rocks glasses. I never used the ones from the last set, so why get more? After poking around various Targets, Linens & Things, Bed Bath, & Beyonds, and Walmarts, it finally occured to me to hit Ikea. There, I found these:

They're total knockoffs of the Williams Sonoma Picardie tumblers, and I love them. Only 50 cents each!!! The remainders of the last set are headed to Goodwill this week, as I bought 10 of these and those should be enough to serve our purposes. Simple, plain, clear glass... ah, nice!

I also invested in a George Foreman grill to aid in my "eat healthy" campaign. I never bought one before because I didn't like that you couldn't really wash it. Now that they have ones where not only can you remove the plates to wash them, you can shove them in the dishwasher, well, let's just say I'm all over that bad boy!

I also stopped by the local Weight Watchers meeting place. They have these really cool plastic serving spoons that are like measuring cups in disguise. They come as a set of two, a one cup and a 1/2 cup measure. This way, you can practice portion control without having to drag out the regular measuring cup. You just give yourself a spoonful with the appropriate spoon! Genius! Add to that they come in a variety of colors so you aren't stuck with something fugly that you won't use... they were a had-to-have. I got a set in red.

Going there made me start think about joining. I joined once before, the summer before my wedding. I know, how cliche, right? Anyway, it really did work, I just didn't stick with it after the wedding happened. I noticed some things looked different, so I started to think, hey, why not? Counting points is a LOT easier than trying to keep track of calories, fat, carbs and protein. So many numbers! I already have several of their cookbooks, which is nice. Ooh, the newest two were a set in the magazine section at Costco. It's all recipes with 5 ingredients or less, and so far everything has been really good. Last night, we had the Oven Baked Risotto... yum yum.

So, anyway, I talked to my husband about it and he said he thinks it's a good idea. There's a meeting at 9:00 am this morning, so after I drop him at work, that's where I am headed! I wanna be skinny dammit! Slutty Halloween costume, here I come!
