Tonight's the night!

I'm packing my bags, and at 6am tomorrow I'll be arriving in the Big Apple!

Miss Gidget apparently wants to go too, poor baby. I guess she must have gotten wind of the doggie spa services at the hotel. Not this time babe!

I'm so excited, I can't wait. I'm trying to just enjoy what is happening as it happens, and trying not to think about crap like not having a job anymore or being broke or fat or my friend's boyfriend making poor choices. Think positive, life is good, I'm going to New York City!

Oh, and while I was at the dollar store looking for stocking stuffers, I noticed some recorders, so I got one. I keep gettting told that is the first instrument you learn in grade school, but I guess they don't teach that in the ghetto, because I never learned. You could tell when I tried it in the car. See, if Em was in AZ instead of IL then I could get private lessons, haha!

I may or may not post while I am gone. My husband is taking his laptop and there is wireless (thank goodness) in the hotel, but I may be too tired. We'll see.
I hope everyone has a great holiday, and I do plan on mailing out my Christmas Cards tonight before we leave. Don't give up on me!

I would so teach you private recorder lessons. I actually never learned to play the recorder until college...which is rather embarassing when you are a 20 year old music major and can't play the recorder!!!

Ok, people, you are all just TOO young, LOL. Back in the stone-age day when I was in elementary, we called it a Tonette. Seriously. When my 18-y.o. DD had to buy this "recorder" thing, I couldn't get over it when I saw it. It's a Tonette! LOL
