SOPA/PIPA

Piracy is bad.  I don't feel like it's okay to steal ANYTHING, and that includes music or movies online.  I know a lot of people think it's harmless and still do it, but the fact of the matter is that stealing is stealing.  PERIOD.  Regardless of what justification you come up with in your mind to explain why it's okay, it's not.

Stealing is stealing.

However, two bills that are coming before congress (SOPA - Stop Online Piracy Act and PIPA - Protect IP Act) that are supposed to protect people from piracy are just way over the line.  They would seriously censor the internet and affect ALL of us in a negative manner.

Please take a moment to do a bit of research on these two bills, and if you can, sign the petition to urge congress to vote NO on SOPA and PIPA here and here.  The senate will vote on these January 24th, so we need to speak up for our voices to be heard.  A lot of websites will be dark tomorrow in protest of these bills.

This is kind of a big deal.
