Here are my photos for this month!
The boy has a cold or something that is making him mighty boogery lately. We've been going through
Boogie Wipes like they're going out of style! All that congestion is making it hard for him to sleep and he barely did at all last night. Not only that, he got up really early too. Well, early for us anyway. He sat and watched
Goodnight Moon on YouTube about 50 times while I made breakfast.
Steel Cut oats - yummy and nutritious!
After breakfast, the crankies set in with a vengeance. The boy cried for about an hour straight at one point, and NOTHING could get him to stop. I tried everything and he wasn't having it.
Finally, he cried himself to sleep on the couch, where he slept for two hours. When he woke up crying again, I gave him a binky, took him to my bed, and he slept there for another two hours. I may have joined him for that one. :)
This guy has been living on my scrapbook table lately. I don' t like him there and he was moved shortly after the photo was taken.
Self portrait. The shadows are giving me a most unfortunate looking unibrow. So not pretty. Also, I think I should wear lipstick.
I had to drive 30 minutes into Phoenix, to pick up something at the
Arizona Biltmore that ultimately was not there. I was not very happy about that. The fact that the lobby reeked of old fish cooking smells didn't help either.
Recipe seven. My husband made dinner since I was out on that errand - page 52 in the Jamie Oliver cookbook. It's supposed to be Creamy Shells with Peas and Bacon, but it was more greasy than creamy. The flavor was okay, but I have to question a recipe that has you sauté chopped bacon in olive oil AND butter. It doesn't look very appetizing at all either. Of course, some baby ate it all up and didn't care, so I'll take that as a victory. It's just not a big enough one that I would care to repeat this meal.
Dessert! Seriously, someone help me
rename those cookies.
After dinner, I was in the craft room and my husband was in the kitchen. The boy decided that our junk mail would be best strewn across the living room carpet. He then decided it would be fun to run across said junk mail. Well, he slipped, of course, and took a header into a table. He got a nice little scrape near his jaw and I'm pretty sure that's gonna bruise.
Scurvy prevention. No joke, the pediatrician said I had to give him some juice to prevent it. I had only been giving him milk and water because I always figured juice was empty sugary calories. Now I squeeze him an orange every night and put
Polyvisol drops in it. Can't be having the boy grow up to be a pirate now, can we?
My art project for the evening. I've been working on this off and on for a few weeks now. Actually, more off than on, to be honest. I'll post a photo when it's completed.

So impressed that you are keeping up with your 12 of 12. I have yet to actually remember to do this. After reading your story about Sawyer being awake all night from congestion and then crying and napping, I realized my bottom lip was out in a little pout for him. :) That craft project looks amazing! Excited to see the finished product. Oh yeah, and bacon in oil and butter? Shock and aww. That's wrong. At least that wasn't the first recipe you guys made from that book.
p.s. Just a 'lil tip for you. When you twitter or FB that you blogged something and you want to share the link to it, there's a way to make your URL smaller. Google 'tiny url', the site will come up. Paste the link to your post in the space provided, and it'll kick out a shorter link for you to put in your tweet. It's kinda cool. :)
You are so quick! I still haven't offloaded my photos yet! Great idea with the juice and polyvisol. I can't get Samantha to take her vitamins, and I really don't blame her, they are from prescription and smell something awful.
We've had the crankies around her quite a bit too. Wonder if it's the onset of the 2's!?
oh, and that's a bummer about the Jamie Oliver dish. That one looked good. Maybe i'll try it without the olive oil?
girl you amaze me.
i was just thinking about you... and wishing you were local... what i wouldn't give to hire you to make the invites/favors for my babyshower in july.
come visit!
