Personal Mission Statement:
My mission is to live my life to the best of my ability, with only minimal regrets. I am committed to celebrating myself, my passions, my choices, my authenticity and my spirit through honesty, bravery, wisdom, and self-reliance.
The first item of baby clothing that I bought when I was pregnant now fits the baby! At, least, I think it was the first one. Anyway, you know it's cute. You can't deny that you smiled when you saw this ridiculousness! He's even wearing coordinating lime green sneaker socks, because he's cool like that.
I pulled out this giraffe that his Grandma sent him a while back, and he had a good old time with it. Mostly he chewed on it's feet and it's tail. It's really cute - all patchworky with a rattle inside and a velcro strap so it can be attached to the handle on the carseat.
Little man is now rolling over pretty consistently. He's figured out that he does not like tummy time, and he can get off his belly by rolling over. He rolls in both directions now. It's kind of funny, because after he initially rolled over he didn't do it again for weeks. He just started it again a week ago and now he's a champ.
He's also starting to scooch himself forward. I don't know if he even realizes what he's doing, but when you put him on his belly, he'll kick with his back legs and push off so he's got his butt up in the air. When he comes back down he inches forward slightly. He's also starting to lift his belly off the ground completely, so he's on his arms and legs for a few seconds. He's not up in a full crawling position yet, but he's definitely starting to get mobile.
I took a couple of short videos of him today, just so you could see how much he's grown. The air on the top of his head is coming in nicely, but you can see he's still rocking that funny baby mullet business in the back. He's more chatty now, and he knows what the camera is. He'll just stare at it when I get it out and stop smiling and chatting. I tried to trick him by setting it on top of a stack of magazines under the coffee table, but as you can see in the second half of the video, he immediately zoomed in on it.
I shot two short videos and stuck them together in Windows Movie Maker. I also figured out how to do transitions, LOL! Call me Miss M Scorsese.
He's so stinkin' adorable! Love the 80's onesie! My dd does the same thing with the camera. It's so frustrating. She just stares at the thing. I find it helpful to have an extra person nearby with a rattle or fav toy to get the smiles out.

OMG, I love it! You need to get him some "Hammer Pants" to complete the ensemble, lol!
