Talk about busy!
I've been all over the place! I have some photo posting catch-up to play. First off: the cake I made for the baby shower on Saturday: Isn't it pretty? I love this cake. It's white cake with raspberry filling in the top layer and chocolate ganache filling in thebottom layer. Then I covered it in vanilla buttercream and hand tinted pink vanilla fondant. I piped buttercream borders around each layer and decorated them with fondant daisies dusted in edible glitter. Finally, I made a pair of fondant mary janes with royal icing accents, covered them in edible glitter, and placed them on top. Everyone loved it, and I may even have another potential job because of it! We'll see how that turns out.For Super Bowl Sunday, I made these: They're red velvet cake with white cake centers to celebrate the Cardinals making it to the Super Bowl. Who would have ever thought? Even though they lost, the cupcakes were cute. I got the picks at Target in their dollar section.I did this last week:
I'm totally redoing the journaling though, because that is some crap ass-y piss poor journaling if ever I saw any. I based it on last week's Starting Blox at Scrapy Land. Bazzill cardstock, EK Success 3" scallop punch, 7 gypsies sticker, and Alfredo Medium font cut out with the Silhouette.
With all the quilting and embroidery, and card making, and coupon clipping and grocery shopping (spent: $102.73; saved: $59.16 for a 37% savings), and baking supply shopping, and cake baking and decorating and cupcake designing and party attending and caring for the baby that I got a little behind in putting my Project 365 photos onto their layouts. They're done now, though. Here they are:
Dude - do I look rough in that picture or WHAT??? That's me, freshly showered but with no makeup. I should have done a page in that Gratitude album of mine about how thankful I am for makeup!

That cake is awesome!
Ok I might have to hire you to make my sons b'day cake...He's 10 weeks old but it's never too early to get the party planning started, right?
Wow, wow and wow. For starters, the cake you made for the baby shower is amazing. I'd like to go on the record as saying if I ever decide to have a baby, and if I still live in Arizona at that time, I want you to make the cake or cupcakes for my shower. There. :) The little green booties with sparkels and the sparkles on the flowers. It's all so cute! You did an awesome job. Then, as if those cupcakes weren't cute enough, you made them red and white on the inside? You are kind of amazing. Thanks, too, for sharing your latest scapbooking. You're doing a great job with your weekly thing. I just love it.
hanging my head in lazy shame.

Those are some AWESOME cakes! You can totally make a business out of that. I heart those maryjanes!
And rock on for getting so much done. I feel like a slug!
**btw (off topic) - I started reading the "no cry nap solution" that you recommended on Pease and I'm really hopeful. If she naps, maybe I can get something done!

LOVE the cake! You are awesome at that Miss Crafty. :)
I definitely think you could make money doing cakes. I, however, will NEVER get a cake to look like anything but a hot mess. LOL
