Happy New Year!

Someone missed the memo again...

Just kidding! He was just tired of the hat. Here's a better one:

A wiggly baby and low light does NOT a good photo make! But, it's a photo, and this is important, because I decided to try Project 365 again this year. Unlike last year, where the challenge was to take a photo of myself everyday for a year, this year I'm just going to document our lives. It got really old to try to come up with creative ways to take photos of myself. I'll admit, I did get some fun ones. It was just a LOT of work and therefore, it was easy to just stop.
This year I'm following the template of the Project 365 album that is Creating Keepsakes Kit of the Month this month. It only comes in 12" x 12" though, and I scrap 8 1/2" x 11". Also, it's about $40, and since I'm really trying to save money while staying home, I went ahead and made up a template in Photoshop:
Like I said earlier, I based it on the page protectors and template in the CK kit. The brushes I found for free on Every day I'll just plug in my photo and the journaling for that day, and at the end of the week, print out the two pages for that week. Then all I have to do is slide them into plain old page protectors from the office supply store!
Hopefully I can keep this up. Last year, I started a gratitude album. It needs a few final touches and I want to stick a few photos in there, and then I'll post it here.

I hear you about the $40. I am doing a LO a week (extremely simply layout) consisting of 6x11.5 paper and embellishments. I will post it next week.

I wasn't that crazy about the kit. I love the idea though.

I just posted Photo #2. ;)
