Home - Day two

It's absolutely ridiculous how many photos we've taken so far of Sawyer. I told my husband that he needed to go through all the ones he's taken and only keep the good ones. He said "But they're ALL good!!! I laughed and told him he needed to just keep the "best" ones, or we are going to run out of memory in a week or two here.

Here are a few more pictures from the hospital:

The last photo of my pregnant belly. This is 40 weeks! I'm HUGE! Notice how my husband still hasn't figured out what the viewfinder on the camera is for. I love the tentacles growing from my head here.

My husband in his sexy disposable scrubs after I got out of surgery. He had already tossed the hat and face mask by this point.

Extreme close up - DANG that's a cute baby!!!

We dressed him up to take him for his first portraits in the cutest little romper. It was too big, of course, but he looked SO precious. I can't wait until they upload all the photos to the website and our pictures come in. Just look at those eyelashes!

Stupid blogger turning my pictures sideways! He's like, What YOU lookin' at?

Sweetly sleeping, all wrapped up!

Getting ready to leave the hospital. He's in a gown, and it just didn't occur to me that this wouldn't work out until after I had him in the seat. Duh! He slept all the way home. I rode with him in the back seat and just watched him.
I call this, "New Dad". This sums up our first day home pretty well. Can I just tell you how much the Boppy rocks?
So far, things are going well. I've rethought my stance on Percocet. It's still not the end all, be all that some folks make it out to be, but it's definitely been helpful! I'm alternating between that and ibuprofen for the pain. My milk has come in, and I'm way too amused by watching it being pumped. It's kinda cool to see how much more I have each time I do it. The last session I did I got enough for TWO feedings! I need to get some milk storage bags or something because I'm going to run out of little bottles fast here at this rate.
Sawyer has his first pediatrician visit tomorrow morning, and then my mother in law comes in to visit for a few days. I'm really looking forward to having her here!

Sara, he is adorable! Reading your story is almost like repeating mine, except I was in the induced labor for 45 hours before the c-section. And no rest during it either. But in the end it's all so worth it isn't it!

Precious!! Those boppy things do come in handy. I wound up not breastfeeding after all, but they work for other things too. "Tummy time" is a good one - keeps them from eating the floor before they can hold their heads up. :)
And the picture thing - that has only just begun. LOL

Boo. Blogger ate my comment.

It was something about buying an external hard drive for your photos...and that you have a cutie baby...and that your milk story cracks me up.
