Boxed In

After months of dealing with a crappy 1980's almond colored dishwasher that just didn't wash dishes, this morning the maintenance man brought us a new one.

(Sorry about the crappy cell phone picture. I was excited and didn't think it through!)

And LOOK! It's STAINLESS!!! So, so pretty. Of course, now it doesn't match the 1980's almond beige refrigerator and stove, but I guess beggars can't be choosers. They can, however, wish for them to miraculously just stop working so they can be replaced as well, but I'm not going to hold my breath.

I'm just thankful to have a dishwasher that hopefully won't leave me with scummy dishes!

I did ask him if I could keep the box. He wanted to know what on Earth I was going to do with that big old thing, and I told him I thought the baby would like it.

I was right. He sat in there eating his Ritz crackers, and then he discovered the dog peeking through the hole on the side.

He then proceeded to feed his Ritz crackers to the dog.
So I guess that means that the dog likes the box too!

Aww, that's cute! :) Often the simpliest toys are the best toys! Looks like Bubba is enjoying his new toy / box :) Hope the dishwasher is a good one... I still wash everything by hand. I know, it's not the 1800s anymore, but what can ya do...

Take care!

oh, I'm so jealous! I have a horrible 1980's dishwasher too that is so loud I swear the neighbors must know when we wash dishes! hubby has actually stolen the front from another one that someone was trashing to replace our dented one. I'm wondering if I can jam a fork in the bottom and break it (same with the oven!).

Love the box pictures - boxes are the best toys!

Sometimes I think I should just do away with bought toys altogether and just get a bunch of boxes. My kids LOVE boxes! My oldest used to drag my little one around the house with him sitting in a diaper box. Oh, the giggles! :)
