Dear Santa

This year, I've been mostly good. I've had my moments, but for the most part, I think I did okay. I'll submit for your consideration, my Christmas wish list.

A pouring shield for my mixer.

It didn't come with one, and I think it would be handy, especially when I make bread. It's hard to pour flour in there while it's running. I have to stop it, lower the bowl, pour in the flour, lift the bowl, start it again... kinda tedious. This would make things a lot smoother. Apparently, there are different one for the different models, so you have to get the one that matches your mixer or it won't fit right. Mine is KN1PS, okay Santa?

This is supposed to eliminate the need for scraping the bowl. NIFTY! Another step saver.

Most people don't know what this is, or how to use it. Fortunately, I am not one of those people! I found some really pretty freshwater pearls last time we were in Seattle for a really good price. I wanted to string them with pink crystals to make a long necklace, and I was thinking that they would look nicer knotted than just strung. I know how to knot pearls with just an awl, but it's long, slow work. This is a LOT easier and faster. I don't know why I didn't just get one when I was working at the bead store, because I sure wish I had one now!

That's pretty much all I can think of right now. Since I don't go anywhere really these days, and I don't scrapbook a whole lot either (and if I did, I have more than enough stuff already), I don't need anything. Lately most of what I buy is for the house (groceries, haha) or the baby.
Actually, I don't really need anything at all! I'm very blessed to be able to say that. Sure, an iPhone or a snazzy dSLR camera would be fun, but I can live without those right now. I had to think for a long time just to come up with the three items I did.

I think it's been a really good year. What more could you ask for?

Awww gosh, your list gave me a whim of greedy guilt. While I know I will receive nothing on mine this year, yours is so practical, and well nifty! I hope Santa is extra good to you this year! :)

Looks like a good list to me! That shield for your mixer will be your new favorite thing for baking. I had like 100 run-ins with flour going everywhere and then I finally went and picked one up. It's awesome.

Cute post -- and great new background and banner!

Also, I thought your comment on Joe telling Teagan about turducken was hilarious. I forwarded it to Joe to be sure he saw it. :)
