He's on his way!

Tonight, while I was decorating cookies for the birthday party on Saturday, Bubba took his first step. It was just one, to be sure, but he did it all by himself, with no coaxing or coaching from us. Unfortunately, since I was at the kitchen table, I missed it, but his daddy saw the whole thing.

I am recording it here, for posterity's sake, that at 1:18 in the morning, our son began his journey of a thousand miles. :)

YES, I know he's up late. Even for him. He slept until 1 pm today and then took a two hour nap, so I'm not terribly worried about it. I'd rather him be up late when I'm up and alert than up early when I'm a stupid zombie because I'm just not a morning person.
