Q is for Jesus

My husband and son were looking at books earlier.  One of the books Bubba picked out was an alphabet book.  My husband told me that when they got to the letter Q, this was the conversation they had:

Husband:  What letter is this?
Bubba:  Q!
Husband:  Good job!  What sound does Q make?
Bubba:  QU, QU!
Husband:  That's right!  Q is for...
Bubba:  That's JESUS!!!

I started laughing as he told me that story, and we both wondered where he came up with that connection.  After some discussion, we figured out it was because of this:

That's what the cover of the hymnals at church look like.  They're paperbacks, but they stick them in these hard maroon covers so you don't really see the actual cover of the book much.  Last Sunday we sang a song that had the lyrics slipped into the inside of the maroon cover, so it was the first time Bubba saw the cover of the hymnal instead of just the pages.  He pointed to the picture and asked, "Who's that?"  We told him it was Jesus and he didn't really say anything else about it until now.

Funny the associations they make in their minds, huh?

***edited to add:  I guess I should have mentioned that the picture on the page was a queen.  :)***
