Project Life 2013 - Weeks 10 & 11

Here's weeks ten and eleven!  Only five more to go!  I am so excited because I totally think I'm going to get caught up!  I can't believe it!

Left side!  I think the photos printed really dark for some reason this week.  Compare the printed version of my title card to the version I have saved on my computer.  See how dark the word Hello is in comparison on the printed version?  I wonder what changed this week since I'm still using the same Walgreens.  Hmm.

Title card inspired by the title card on Adrienne Alvis' week 16 layout.  I just found her on Pinterest this week and am LOVING her work.

The patterns on this were all found using Google image search. The title font is Janda Stylish Script.

The layout of this card was inspired by the lower right corner of the right side of this layout.

The pattern on this card was found doing a Google image search for wallpaper.  I found some good stuff that way!  The design for this card was inspired by the bottom left card on the right side of Nichole Duenke's week 21 layout.

Both quotes found on Pinterest.  The one on the left here and the one on the right here.

Right side!

The trellis and cork backgrounds were found doing a Google image search. Come to think of it, so was the note paper!  The font for Rainy Night Legos is Henny Penny and the banner on the other card is a dingbat from KG Flavor and Frames.  The other text is all Century Gothic.  It is my go-to "simple" font.

The date font is Lavanderia.  I think the text font is Irish Spaghetti but I'm not 100% sure.

The patterned paper for the background on this card can be found here. The punch label is the Punch Label font.

The background for both of these cards were found on Google image search looking at wallpaper patterns. The design for the card on the right is based on the Big Mess card on this layout.

The layout for this card was inspired by the Happy Birthday card on the last layout of this page.  The background paper was found here.

The font on this one is Batik Regular.  It's my go-to typewriter font these days.  The bunting and the circle on the bottom with the date are dingbats from KG Flavor and Frames. The background was another Google wallpaper.

The arrows on the left card are another dingbat from KG Flavor and Frames.

And that's it for that week!  I feel so accomplished, LOL!

Project Life 2013 - Week 24

Y'all... I did not take enough pictures last week!  We haven't really been doing much because it's just too hot here at 110 degrees!  I mean, I can only take so many photos of us in our pajamas at 5pm to caption "Stayed inside all day... AGAIN."

I hate summer.

I did get three more weeks on two spreads into my book though!  Here is week 24.

I had to get creative to fill space this week, hence the patterned paper filler cards up top and lots of quotes.  Praise the Lord for Pinterest, amirite?  I had the last space on the bottom left to fill and I remembered that I had just discovered  these Red Velvet Pop Tarts.  Have you tried them?  They're GENIUS.  I love them so hard and am on my second box.

Whoops.

Some cards.  I found myself leaning toward cork patterns this week.  The twill tab is from Confessions of a Homeschooler.  The pattern on the "Oh Happy Day" card I found on a Google image search for seamless tiles.

This was the first time I had seen my friend Sam since before Christmas!  Girlfriend is busy. The arrow is from a dingbat font called You Are Here.

The journaling font on here is called Henny Penny.  Card inspired by upper right corner of this layout.

The title card was inspired by one I found on Instagram by elizabethmanna.  I added a brad after it was printed.  The calendar is from Finding Nana.  The arrow is from a dingbat font called Tia Urban Life.  It was on an old Autumn Leaves font cd but I can't find it online.

Right side!

The cow jumping over the moon image I found on a Google image search.  The quote was from Pinterest.

Another Pinterest quote which I felt was perfect for my photo of friends I don't see as often as I'd like.  The Target heart was found while doing a Google image search for "I love Target."  It was landscape but I fixed it in Photoshop.

This card was inspired by the one on the lower left side of this layout.

The background for this card is the Twitter background for Target Deals. The font is Candice.

The font for "NOTE" is Bebas and "On this day" is Lavanderia.  This card was inspired by the upper left corner on this layout.

One of my friends posted this on Facebook and I loved it, so into the book it went!  Quote found on Craft Snark.

That's it for this week!  I'll post the other layout I finished tomorrow.

Project Life 2013 - Week 12

Week twelve is done and in the book!  Now I am only eight weeks behind - WOMP WOMP!   It sounds like an awful lot, but considering that I was twenty weeks behind two weeks ago, I think I'm doing okay.  I scanned this one.  My stitching leaves a little to be desired, but I think it came out better than when I was photographing them on the floor of my craft room.

As usual, click on any image to see it larger.

Left side:

Title card scraplifted from findingnana on Instagram.  Her pages are awesome.  The "Make This Moment Count" was found on Pinterest.  There seem to be, oh, about a million of them on there so I have no idea what the original source was.  I just resized the image for the card.  The Irish blessing card was resized from a free printable that can be found here.

The design for this card was lifted from the card on the lower left corner of the left side of Michelle Wooderson's week three spread.  The background behind the photos is actually a desktop wallpaper that I found in a Google image search.  MAN! I love Google image search!!!

The design for this card was taken from the "Let's Party" card on the lower right side of this layout.  I used Mel Stampz pinstripe white overlay for the background here and just lowered the opacity to get the tone on tone look.

Here's the right side.

I changed out the sizes on the cards in the middle row for this one... such a rebel! HA!

Tell me that broken screen doesn't look like, um... some lady part.  Terrible.

The design for this card was inspired by another findingnana card; specifically, the "Celebrate" card on the lower left corner of this page. The file label on this card was modified from one of my previous printables.  The hexagon background was found in a Google image search, and of course I can't find it again to link here.

The "Naps are pretty Amazing" card was modified from this picture found on Pinterest.

For this card, I googled the logo for our local children's museum and just removed the white background.

I made a matching card for the journaling (they're roughly 4" x 4") and after they were printed I trimmed the corners and punched the centers from the green circles so they would look like kraft tags.

The rest are just trimmed photos!  It's so nice to have another week down!

Project Life 2013 - Week 23

Week 23 is done and in the book!  Hooray!  As usual, click on any photo to see it bigger.

Here's the left side:

The title card background is from a Studio Calico Here + There paper pad.  The calendar is 7Gypsies.  The foam letters I bought at the dollar store literally years ago.

The design for this card was based on a sketch found here.  Their site is down or else I would link directly there.

The doodle on  the left card was modified from one found here.  I liked it, but the heart covered her face.  I wanted to be able to see her face, and the shoes, which happen to be Bubba's baby shoes.

The quote on the right was found on Pinterest, and I just typed it on a background in Photoshop.

The card on the left was inspired by this one.  The one on the right is a printable that I resized.  You can see the original here.

This was my child's hobby this week.  She always seemed to have a pen mark or two on her legs.  "This is Life" card inspired by the February layout on this page.

My son is a weird sleeper.  Nap card inspired by the "eat" card on this layout.

Here's the right side of the layout:

The first two cards were the only ones I didn't do digitally this week.

The layout for this card was inspired by the "Together as a family" card on the lower left corner of this layout.

The baby has been taking a step here and there for a couple of months now, but on Thursday of this week she finally decided it was time to start walking for real.  I didn't have any photos, but I still wanted this to be documented so I just journaled about it.

Come on... tell me I'm not the only Candy Crush addict!  I found the picture doing a Google search and then modified it to fit a card and added the text at the bottom.  The card on the right is a photo I took of our television (hooray HDTV, amirite?) and layered on a card I found here on Pinterest.  It looks like the blog containing the download isn't around anymore.  I copied a little piece of the bottom of the card to make the date tab up on top.

These were both mine.  I found the background on the card on the right by doing a Google search for digital scrapbook paper.

I ran errands all day on Saturday with the baby and even though I kept reminding myself every time I got back into the car that I needed to take pictures at my next stop, I still made it home with not a single photo!  So, I had to find a way to still be able to document our day out.  I took a chance on sending this to be printed, and they printed it no problem.  I am glad because it looks better when everything matches, I think.

As promised earlier this week, here's a set of new printables!

The Independence Day card I made just for this.  I saw one like it that was for Valentine's Day and thought it would be cute to make my own version for the upcoming holiday.  As usual, these are available for free if you're a fan of my Facebook page.  Please do not sell or redistribute them, as I make them available for personal use only.  Also, while I appreciate when people like my work enough to pin to Pinterest, please only pin from this page and NOT from my hosting site.  I'd appreciate it!

Enjoy!

Project Life 2013 - Weeks 13 & 14

You know, one day I'm going to not be lazy and scan these so they don't look so crappy.  Unfortunately, today is not that day!  HA!

Here's the right side.  Those little banner stickers are Christmas stickers!  I thought they were so cute when I saw them on Monday I had to get some.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out that there were two sheets in the package when I got home.  I love them!

The Hello Every Day Life card was found here.  It's the Life Quotes Card set.  The "Today" card (with the pic of the baby in the denim jacket) was found here. The bottom left card with my crying child was inspired by the "haircut" card on this layout.

The Pyrexia card was something I found online and then made into a card in Photoshop. Of course I can't find it now.  You do NOT want to google "pyrexia."  It's pretty gross.

The card on the left was from one of the printables I did last year. The card on the right was inspired by the "So You" card on this layout.
This card will be on the next printable!  I don't know when I'll have that done.  Maybe by the end of this week... we'll see.

Here's the right side.  The "Look who's almost walking" card in the lower right hand corner was inspired by the "This Week" card on the lower left corner of this layout.

This card was inspired by one on the right side of this layout.  This card will be on the next printable too.

Not a lot to say about this one.  Her grandma bought her that dress.  It was so floofy!

We organized egg dying and an egg hunt the day before Easter for the neighborhood kids.  It went really well!  I just blacked out the faces for this post.  I promise they're there in my own book.

These are my favorite people in the whole world after Easter mass.  :)

I managed to get the photos for last week done too.  I usually get my photos printed at my local Walgreen's but they got a new machine that won't let them do matte prints anymore.  I hate glossy prints!  I found one a couple of miles up the road that seems to be the only one in this area with the old machine.  The problem is that apparently it breaks down a LOT.  I tried all weekend to get photos uploaded and finally had to drive there and use a thumb drive.  What a pain!  I know, first world problems, right?  Anyway, I got in there just in time because the machine broke down again after being just being repaired that morning as soon as the photo guy finished my photos.  Ugh.

So that's that story.  :)  The layout should be up tomorrow!
